Jonathan Cheney

Jonathan “Jon” Cheney is an ISA Certified Arborist at Harrison McPhee Inc. who feels most at home outdoors—whether he’s climbing trees, reading a good book, making music, or learning something new. Intrinsically motivated, endlessly inquisitive, and fully immersive in whatever he does, Jon discovered arboriculture during the COVID-19 pandemic and jumped in headfirst with a reputable tree care company… and never looked back. What he loves most about the work is spending every day outside while applying science to provide real environmental benefits and help preserve trees for the next generation. Climbing trees gives him an adrenaline rush that eventually settles into a calm, meditative focus—and he’s always up for pushing safely beyond his comfort zone. A Dunkin’ Donuts–loving, burrito-choosing, axe-preferring kind of guy, Jon is quiet, thoughtful, and happiest when the small talk fades and the meaningful work (and conversations) begin.
