If there's a question as to what a software developer is doing working at Harrison McPhee with arboriculture experts, perhaps it is best explained by the following: My favorite tool in my arsenal is my 27-ton log splitter. This tool feeds my love of relaxing by a fire any season of the year! Feel free to send any spare logs my way *wink* *wink*
On any given day you can find me digging into a database or system to figure out how it works or inventing an automated process to make work more efficient.
When not in front of a computer, you'll find me rocking in my hammock, staring up at Beech trees, and throwing a toy 1,000 times for my happy canine friend. Sometimes you'll even find me there with my computer. Other times, with a book, or aimlessly soaking in the beauty.
When the opportunities arise, you'll find me on the back of a horse. Or slaloming behind a boat. Or flying down a ski slope! I've hiked mountains and guided rubber rafts through rapids down the Arkansas River. I find the most peace near water: falls, brooks, lakes, oceans. They are my happy place!
Being outdoors, and experiencing everything the world has to offer, is a welcome reprieve from my computer screen, and I am deeply grateful to the tree people I work with and everyone who makes it possible as boots on the ground.
